In event types 1 and 2 the SBA organisers and SBA members are covered by the SBA Liability Insurance; these events count towards the SBAS boiler test Discount Scheme.

Wednesday 24th Aug: HW 11:12 BST 4.6m

Launch from Totnes in the morning. Note that we can use the public slipway with our ‘usual arrangement’ of secure car & trailer parking again this year (near Steamer Quay) for a donation to the RNLI.

Eve: Reception Drinks at Ferry Cottage 6pm SBA Time.

Thursday 25th Aug: HW 12:00 BST 4.3m

11:30 am – judging for ‘best steam boat’ by Nigel Way MBE

12:30 – Luncheon at The Royal Castle Hotel

PM - DIY steaming or short steam up river for afternoon tea at anchor?

Displays:

Air displays may be added / changed at short notice

9pm Fireworks

Friday 26th Aug: HW 13:06 BST 4.1m

A.M. – DIY steaming/shopping etc

Early start (10am latest) for early lunch at Maltsters Arms, Tuckenhay.

The Red Arrows (2 x flypast)

Saturday 27th Aug: HW 14:24 BST 3.9m

A.M. Messing about on the river.

15:00. Parade of Classic Craft (led by steam boats)

Depart moorings 14:45, return 15:30. Full details will be supplied on the day.

Eve Meal in a pub somewhere before the fireworks?

Displays:

6pm Typhoon (aircraft)

9pm Fireworks

Sunday 28th Aug: HW 15:54 BST 3.9m

Steam up to Totnes at leisure during the day.

Costs:

As usual, this is a ‘pay as you go’ rally.

  • Totnes car/trailer/(boat) storage in a compound is by donation to RNLI. Vehicles left at our own risk.
