Calstock Steamboat Rally - River Tamar

PLANNED PROGRAMME

Friday 22nd June. PM

Launch boats at Cotehele Quay.

Best launch time between 1330hrs and 1530hrs Boats will then be towed to the Calstock moorings, local tug boat (RIB!) help provided. National Trust Café and interesting Museum on the quay close to slip. Parking for cars and trailers available.

Saturday 23rd June

Meet for morning coffee at Calstock Quay 1030 hrs.

Boats will then be towed from moorings to the pontoon at Calstock Quay to raise steam and for display. Local Hand-made Pre-ordered pasties will be delivered to the quay. Flotilla will set off up river at 1300hrs passing the ancient inland port of Morwellham and the impressive Morwell Rocks. Back at Calstock, boats will return to moorings, water taxi/support boat provided. 1900hrs Group evening meal at the Boot Inn.

Sunday 24th June

Water taxi available. Pre-ordered Pasties available as yesterday. Prepare boats to leave at midday in convoy to travel down river to the Pentille Estate for a 'bring your own' picnic ashore at the Estate’s boathouse. Return back up river at a time to suit. Ideal pull out time at Cotehele Quay is between 1500hrs and 1730hrs.
