REGISTRATION ONLY, NO BUFFET LUNCH

The format will be the same as in previous years with the

Auction/Business Meeting/Presentation of Trophies etc/talk or discussion.

There will also be space available for individual stands and

there will be the usual Photo Competition.

A Buffet Lunch and All -day tea and coffee will be provided for all those who have booked for the AGM at no cost. I need to forward numbers for lunch a week before the event. Unfortunately therefore anyone booking after Thursday 26th February will not be able to have lunch

There is also a café on site for those who prefer.

A free pass to the Museum is included for all attendees. This is usually for the day of the meeting but the museum has agreed for this to be made available for use on the Sunday and all those booking for the AGM will receive a pass.

There will be a pre-Event Dinner at the Holiday Inn, Ellesmere Port, CH45 2AL on the Friday night Friday 6th March. This is a pre -booked three course meal at £37.00 per head and needs to be booked with menu choices which should be typed in on the booking form (see choices below) and paid for via the AGM Booking Form by Monday 2nd February 2026.

I am also looking into the possibility of an informal dinner somewhere on the Saturday night. Unfortunately due to renovations at the museum the originally proposed visit to the Museum on the Sunday will not be possible but attendees will be able to visit the Museum free of charge on the Sunday individually.

HOLIDAY INN MENU

Starters;    

  • Roasted Red Pepper and Plum Tomato Soup finished with a Basil Pesto (v) (ve) (gf) or
  • Chicken Liver Parfait with a sweet and spicy chutney, served with toasted herb croutes. (gf)

Mains;       

  • Chicken Supreme served with Fondant Potatoes, roasted Carrots, Green Beans, served with a Mushroom Diane Sauce.. (gf) or
  • Prosciutto wrapped cod loin on top of a Spanish style tomato stew with spinach and samphire (gf) or
  • Carrot and Mushroom Wellington with Herby New Potatoes and Gravy (v) (ve) (gf)

Dessert       

  • Melt in the Middle Dark Chocolate Fondant served with Bandy Cream Sauce or
  • Vanilla Cheesecake served with Fruits of the Forest Compote and Raspberry Crisps.

Please indicate on the booking form your menu choices and whether you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies.

Bookings for the AGM itself plus the free buffet lunch need to be made by the 28th February as numbers have to be sorted and sent to the caterers. Anyone wishing to book after that should contact Dot Bullough on chair@steamboatassociation.org.uk.

The agenda and full details of the AGM will be sent out in January/February.
